Pretoria - The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has today heard testimony from Bob the Builder, who recounted how he was forced to pay a protection fee for his construction sites in Mpumalanga.

Bob the Builder (real name Robert Brick) explained to the commission how he was first introduced to Joe Sibanyoni after he rocked up at a construction site demanding to speak to whoever was in charge. The Builder reported that Sibanyoni sought a “protection fee” for the construction site in Embalenhle, Mpumalanga, as well as the exclusive use of his taxis as staff transport for his workers. “Everything happened so fast, commissioners. Before I could realise it, Bafana Sindane was pouring Moët on my head and singing ‘Kwenzakalani’,” said the distraught Builder.

Joe Sibanyoni did not respond to calls for comment from The Grapevine. Bafana Sindane answered our calls from a club, but we could not hear a single word he was saying...So, like, whatever dude.
